"I think it is extremely important to connect with those who share your same passion"

Becky & Charlie sittin in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-Gbecky’s buttons & things is a unique line of handmade buttons, dioramas, embroidery, jewelry, sewn & crocheted goods that I have been using as a creative outlet for over 7 years now.

I grew up in a creative household in South Jersey and was exposed to the arts at a very young age. My family was extremely supportive of my interests so weekends were often spent at museums, art classes, music lessons or just around the house working on creative projects.

In school I always gravitated towards art classes, which eventually encouraged me to attend Colorado State University with a focus in Art History.

I have worked in the arts field for over 6 years, serving as the first student Director of the Curfman Gallery at CSU, as the Volunteer Coordinator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver and most recently serving on the Advisory Board for the Colorado State University Arts Museum as the student alumni representative.

I maintain a website on Etsy that has helped my brand to gain national and international exposure and in the spring of 2010 I attended my first out of state Market, Renegade Handmade in Austin, TX.

I think it is extremely important to connect with those   who share your same passion no matter what it is so I have   completed a project entitled                        50 Crafters X 50 States X 50 Weeks which was a weekly series on my blog. Each week I chose a different crafter, going through all of the 50 states in alphabetical order, and showcased their  work and talked to them about what craft means in their life.
