"All of my creations are hand crafted by me and come to life on my red jewelry bench"

Red Bench's Jackie Barr was born and raised in Colorado Springs, where her passion for jewelry  and ornamentation began early in childhood.  Art School taught her the fundamentals and ancient techniques that remain a strong force in her work today.

jb1.jpgjb3.jpg"I have been making art and jewelry for as long as I can remember," says Jackie. "I wandered through college and left with a BFA and a concentration in metalsmithing. After college I worked as a custom jeweler in a local shop for 5 years. It was there that I refined and expanded my skills as a metalsmith and jeweler."

jb4.jpgJackie is fascinated by the challenge of transforming unexpected objects into jewelry and feels it is important to re-use as much as possible within the design of her jewelry.

Her line of recycled jewelry (Urban Relics), uses recycled aluminum cans and copper electrical wire to create earrings, pendants and bracelets.

She has always been inspired by nature and her jewelry reflects that influence with simple lines and natural mediums. Residing in the heart of Denver, Colorado. All of my creations are hand crafted by me and come to life on my red jewelry bench- which is the inspiration behind my line's name.
